| Parades and Fireworks | | a british and german twist to american independence | 2006-07-05 | Happy Independence Day!
Milwaukee MINIs organized a wonderful inclusion into the Wauwatosa 4th of July Parade. 19 MINIs from the surrounding Milwaukee area (and a few Chicago friends) drove down North Ave. and threw candy to children who were like hungry wolves, and waved to everyone else.
I swear, those kids were acting like candy was as good as gold. I bet then if we had thrown candy from our MINIs they would have rather had a Tootsie Roll and chance having a close and intimate relationship with my tire.
After the parade, we headed over to Edwardos pizza and sat around discussing all things MINI and not so MINI.
It was a amazing way to spend the 4th!
I'll be spending a lot of tonight working on this site. I've decided it. I've been neglecting making big updates to this site on account of having lots of other things to do.
I've noticed a few bugs, like if my expiration date of my news posts comes around, then you're left with "Latest News:" and thats it.
I have a bunch of new DIY mods that I did. Including all the work and data I did with the cold air intake and the intercooler diverter.
I re-did my AUX input to use parts that are probably easier to find, but require a little cutting. (re-did my solders too) I'll be posting updated pictures of that too.
I also want to integrate a photo gallery, but still haven't decided the means with which I want to go about that.
And, finally, I'm thinking about a forum for anyone who has questions on the crazy stuff that I post here. (Come to find out from a recent email that some stuff on here actually has a wee-bit of value.)
We'll see how far I get tonight, hopefully I'll take out a few of those birds. |
